Chat is a 3 year old, male, red Labrador Retriever that came to us from a breeder in Ohio. We have strict criteria for the dogs we use in our breeding program and unfortunately, Chat did not make the cut. He currently lives with our son and his young family. Chat does great with the kids. He has a moderate energy level for a Lab. He is fully house trained, knows some basic obedience and he is very easy to work with. Chat does have a good amount of prey drive and should not live in a house with small animals. He also does not enjoy the company of other male dogs. (He does fine on leash walks, but does not want to share his living space.) He does well with the other female dogs that he lives with but care will be taken when considering a home with another dog. Chat will do best in a quiet home with a well fenced yard. He would be a good match for someone who does not have much time for training, as he is quite agreeable when he is not distracted by chickens!
